The rain will become more organized today and may fall fairly heavy at times in some areas. The rain will change to snow late today or tonight.A few centimetres of snow are expected tonight except closer to 2 near Lake Ontario. The snow will taper off early Friday.Also, strong northerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h may be expected tonight causing some local blowing snow.Rainfall warnings are issued for amounts of 25 mm or more in 24 hours or less when the ground is saturated. For the latest information for the potential for spring flooding in your area, please consult the website of your local Conservation Authority or the website of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
