A reminder of the incredible force of weather



A bit far away, but pretty major news in the weather world... Super Typhoon Bopha made landfall in the rather unprepared Philippine island of Mindanao recently (445am local time Tuesday) as a terrifying Category 5 storm with winds of 160+mph (260kmh sustained)...

It isn't very often a Cat 5 storm makes landfall anywhere in the world (usually 1 ever few years)... If you're interested in reading some weather-heavy related articles on the storm, Dr. Master's Always has some good info:
