Subject: Cattle Egret at Tilbury SL - Oct 6th

(With this bird, I now have at least one "self found" Cattle Egret in Ontario - each year - for the past five years!)

Andrea Orr, Natalie Leava and I just watched a Cattle Egret at the Tilbury
Sewage Lagoons. After making several prolonged circles around the lagoons.
Not sure if it landed out of sight, or kept going. Could be a sign of
things to come, as Ontario has been under the influence of strong SW winds
for the past several days after a powerful extratropical cyclone stalled in
NW Ontario.

Good Birding!

Directions: take Hwy 401 west, exiting at #56, head west and turn right on
Elginfield sideroad. At the end of the road, turn right on Baseline Road.
The lagoons are on your right about 1km down the road.
ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
