Pelee Island: May 1

Pelee Island May 1st! Tired edition:

Butterflies were a major highlight (major) over the last two days. Yesterday, Red Admirals were flying north along the west beach of the island at a conservative rate of 5000-7000 per hour.... INSANE...

Mourning Cloaks seemed to arrive in numbers as well? Seemed strange. Ken had a Monarch today, and today there was numerous Painted Ladies, which were my FOY after having nothing but American Ladies for days before this... The really strange thing was that Painted Ladies were suddenly more common than American Ladies today......

ID only - Painted Lady

Quality - Painted Lady
