It's New York's turn to spin the wheel.... Let me see what's behind door number three!!!
Check out parts 1 and 2 here (OH and MI):

White-faced Storm Petrel
Cory’s Shearwater
Mottled Petrel
Hearld (Trindade) Petrel
White-tailed Tropicbird
Red-billed Tropicbird
Brown Booby
Western Reef Heron
Reddish Egret
White-tailed Kite
Azure Gallinule
Corn Crake
Northern Lapwing
Pacific Golden Plover
Common Ringed Plover

Red-necked Stint
Broad-billed Sandpiper

Calliope Hummingbird
Williamson’s Sapsucker
Hammond’s Flycatcher
Cassin’s Vireo
Redwing
Yellow Wagtail
MacGillivray’s Warbler
Seaside Sparrow
Saltmarsh Sparrow
Boat-tailed Grackle
So let's break it down! An amazing 37 species on this list....
Species we probably won't see in our lifetimes in Ontario:
Mottled Petrel
Azure Gallinule
Corn Crake
Broad-billed Sandpiper
Yellow Wagtail
That leaves us with 32... But it's time to introduce a few new categories. Since New York as a room with a view (of the ocean)... Here's a list of species they see on pelagics, that we may possibly need an awe-inspiring hurricane to produce here:
White-faced Storm-Petrel
Cory's Shearwater
Hearld Petrel (actually an inland post-hurricane record for NY)
White-tailed Tropicbird
Red-billed Tropicbird
Common Murre
Brown Booby
Great Skua
South Polar Skua
Bridled Tern
and heck, let's add a few other strictly "coastal species" while we are at it:
Seaside Sparrow
Saltmarsh Sparrow
Boat-tailed Gracke...
We could get a number of those species in Ontario someday/somehow, but I'm just gonna chuck them out, since NY cheats by being "costal"......
Next (19 left):
Species that are possible to overdue in Ontario:
Pink-footed Goose
Reddish Egret *cough*
White-tailed Kite
Bar-tailed Godwit (James Bay people! What are you all doing up there?)
Red-necked Stint
Monk Parakeet (introduced)
Calliope Hummingbird
Williamson's Sapsucker (an awesome record for NY, but we need one)
Hammonds Flycatcher
Cassin's Vireo
Redwing
MacGillivray's Warbler
And finally, the last 7 species.. I think these are possible, sure, but man they would be mega mega rare or mega difficult:
Roseate Tern (they actually have an accepted record for Lake Ontario - May 20, 1996.. but I don't know if theres photos?????)
Western Reef Heron
Northern Lapwing
Pacific Golden Plover (tough ID)
Common Ringed Plover (tougher ID?)
Wood Sandpiper
Western Gull
