I didn't take too many non-bird pics when I was there, but this was one form Hillman Marsh on the 15th... ~5 Blandings Turtles basking with several painted... Sorta happy with this pic.
Hypothetical ( delusion ):
ReplyDeleteBirds reported in Illinois...

Hummingbird, White-eyed Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, House Wren,
Yellow-throated Warbler, Henslow's Sparrow
Wilson's Phalarope
Cliff Swallow
So if there is a fairly large pile of migrants
where the warmest bulge of hot air was this
week ( 80F plus ), some of them will get sucked
into this strong low and pulled into Ontario.
Will be interesting to see how things continue to progress... We should still be (mostly) above normal temperatures for the rest of March and early April --- so the birds should continue to move in (although maybe at their own pace?? Or maybe we'll get some good winds to speed them up a bit?)
