Finally - BOWA's

This actually happened 2 weeks ago, but Josh Mansell and I finally found some Bohemian Waxwings after weeks of keeping our eyes peeled (well, since December really)... They were just off the 401 near KM 593!

Here's some pics of the encounter. I'm not really sure if I like these or not... Anyone think they're "website worthy" ??

Also, some fun from the encounter.. .I didn't colour correct these images or anything, but they show something funny:

3 images taken in rapid succession, take a look at the highest birds in each picture. They get in a bit of a squabble over a good perching spot, and break the branch!! In the 2nd image, they're still squabbling and holding onto the branch when it isn't attached anymore!

Of couse these 3 pictures were taken about 0.1 seconds apart, so it didn't exactly last very long. Just some fun for today!
