First blasts of SW winds for "spring" 2014

Thursday "forecast" model run:

Sunday "forecast" model run:

Temps around 15C for SW Ontario!!! Strong SW winds as well... These will be our first "warm up" weather systems of spring 2014!!  I wouldn't be surprised (at all) to see something like an American Avocet reported from somewhere in the province... Or Forster's Terns (?) further afield like Lake Ontario... Heck, maybe a White Pelican?

More likely would be something like a few Louisiana Waterthrush, Pine Warblers, Gnatcatchers, and other early-ish migrants. Mike Burrell's ebird guide to arrivals is likely the best way to figure out what may be around thanks to this weather -

Beyond that, I know I'll be outside enjoying the weather!!! Even if it's just on my balcony ;)

  1. Forster's Tern come through Durham Region every April on their way to the Lake Simcoe Colony
